About the RoleJoin a busy Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine practice as a full-time Medical Assistant supporting providers, care teams, and patients across both clinical and administrative functions. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on patient care while working in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with ProHealth Physicians, part of the Optum family.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for visits by collecting and documenting clinical information.
- Provide patient care support, clinical summaries, and follow-up guidance.
- Perform phlebotomy as needed.
- Answer, document, and route patient calls through the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Schedule tests, treatments, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
- Maintain accurate documentation, monitor task pools and referrals, and support smooth daily office operations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program OR
- Completed relevant medical assisting training through any branch of the United States Armed Forces OR
- 2+ years of aide-level or technician-level healthcare experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Completed relevant medical assisting training through any branch of the United States Armed Forces.
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant credential through AAMA, NHA, NCCT, or AMT.
- CPR/BLS Certification.
- 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
- Experience working with Epic.
- Experience working in a primary care office.
- Intermediate computer proficiency.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.23 per hour
