Position Summary
This position will serve as an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator within the Thurston Arthritis Research Center; specifically working on the Osteoarthritis Prevention Study and research or public health action related to the Osteoarthritis Action Alliance coalition, both federally funded projects aimed at addressing the prevention and management of osteoarthritis. The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator assists with the execution of study protocols, including screening and recruiting study participants, conducting study visits, and collecting, entering, and reviewing study data.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences
- General knowledge of confidentiality practices.

- Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and formulate independent judgments consistent with research policies, practices, and protocols.

- Ability to work independently, accept responsibility, delegate, work collaboratively, and manage multiple tasks efficiently to ensure the successful outcome of project protocols.

- Prior human subjects research experience

- Familiarity with clinical and functional assessments as well as PROs
Required Licenses/Certifications
Special Physical/Mental Requirements
1. Ability to lift objects weighing 25 lbs. occasionally with or without accommodation
2. Ability to bend, stoop, grasp, and reach with or without accommodation
3. Not exposed to adverse environmental conditions; work is performed in indoor settings with climate control.
