Job Summary The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for assisting the plants and purchasing in monitoring, managing, and maintaining the overall VMI inventory level. Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Move in-process materials between workstations as needed.
- Transport finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
- Band, wrap, pack, and label finished products according to standards.
- Maintain organized and clean raw material and finished goods storage areas.
- Assist production teams with bottlenecks and material support.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Complete pre-shift equipment inspections and report issues.
- Ensure all equipment is safe, clean, and operational.
- Operate hand tools and equipment required for assembly processes.
- Follow all forklift operation rules and company safety policies.
- Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality and customer specifications are met.
- Follow established safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Maintain inventory of production materials and supplies.
- Prepare production reports and maintain accurate records.
- Verify production documentation is properly completed and logged.
- Conduct cycle counts and inventory adjustments as required.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc operational reports.
- Assist with production scheduling and workload balancing.
- Review pre-shift inspection reports and address concerns.
- Communicate effectively with employees and management.
- Support continuous improvement (CI) and safety initiatives.
- Complete work area setup and maintain housekeeping standards.
- Participate in safety meetings, training, and improvement programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent degree preferred
- 6+ months of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred (not required)
- Working knowledge of inventory internal controls, and company procedures
- Working knowledge in the use of computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Basic math skills preferred
- Preferred understanding of company policies, practices, and procedures
Compensation & Benefit Information: Hourly/Salary Pay Range: $24.00 - $27.00 an hour dependent on experience* *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living Bonus/Incentive Pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses.
