The Department of Pediatrics at MedStar Harbor Hospitalis seeking aMedical Director of Newborn Services forits Division of Neonatology. The candidate, who must be board certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, should be committed tomaintaining and continue to developa program of excellence in clinical carefor normal and moderately ill newborns.Strong interpersonal skillsare a must; previousleadershipexperience ispreferredbut not required.

MedStar Harbor Hospital provides obstetric care and oversees over 1,000 deliveries peryear andcounts with a level II Neonatal Care Unit to take care of moderately ill term and preterm newborns.

Asmedical director, the individual will be responsible for overseeing clinical operationsand coverage schedule, providing education of staff including pediatric hospitalists,nurseandnurses, and developing, supporting, and participating in practice and quality improvement projects.
