The Supplier Engineer and the Sr. Manager role are part of the Supplier Engineering and Technology team. SET is an organization that is innovative in manufacturing technology, materials and supply chain design. As a Supplier Engineering Sr. Manager, you will havea vital role within the Gas integration and Gas OEM spaces as well as the success of the overall team and commodity. You will have the opportunity to work across organizational functions to resolve technical, quality and production challenges, as well as the opportunity to develop excellence in product design and manufacturing.

Candidate should be a result-driven, self-starter possessing strong interpersonal skills with a strong focus on supporting internal and external customers. This individual should also possess the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, to adapt to changing priorities and to work independently in a close-knit team setting.

What you'll do

The objective of this position is to manage the team responsible for:

  • Work with Lam Product Group Engineering organizations in development and release of new integrated assemblies & OEM products to the supply base - Gas Delivery and OEM Components.
  • Apply skills and experience with semiconductor manufacturing and equipment to technical and quality problems encountered in the product life cycle with special attention to new product introduction.
  • Coordinate and support investigation of key quality defects of components from the customers and/or field service team to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the improvement of the remote factory suppliers' quality and manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost, and on-time-delivery.
  • Act as liaison / technical lead for cross functional projects to include Build Verify and Production Readiness Review.
  • Audit and document supply base performance on critical process of records and overall quality management systems.
  • Collaborate on the continuous development of supply base through close teamwork with product management, global product group, and supplier business managers.
  • Leads, and is personally accountable for, high profile project timelines and milestones.
  • Continuously working on process improvement and developing Best Known Methods.
  • Provide technical support in Build, Test and FQA to suppliers in deposition and etch product deployment and transition.
  • Perform Standardized Supplier Quality Audits and administer Supplier Quality Scorecard for existing suppliers to promote continuous improvement.
  • Drive Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis on defects and Escalations.
Who we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials, Chemistry or Mechanical Engineering from accredited university.
  • 6-8 years of people management experience with 8 years of working in the Semiconductor Equipment Industry.
  • Creative thinking and strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities, including experience in the areas of gas delivery integration and OEM gas components.
  • Solid understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, mass/momentum/heat transfer.
  • Solid understanding of statistical process control and basic statistical analysis used in production setting.
  • Solid understanding of equipment and component manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in supplier process development & quality management.
  • Understanding of failure analysis and problem solving.
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance.
  • International & domestic travelling.
  • Mechanical/fluid delivery system design.
  • Systems engineering, integration and customer fab knowledge.
  • Solid understanding of various problem-solving methodologies to include 8-D/5 why.
  • Project Management / Team Lead experience.
  • Experience with working with global suppliers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Attentions to details.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: Min $146,000 - Max $311,000.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
