Business Insights Manager - Sales & Business Development

We are seeking a Business Insights Manager who is self-motivated & strategic minded to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving growth initiatives, investigating new business ventures, and conducting financial analysis. This individual will advise the Sales & Business Development teams on commercial deal development and exploring organic, acquisitive, and technology-induced expansion opportunities. They will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and making decisions for commercialization on opportunities. The position will report to the Sr. Manager of Business Insights & Analytics, under the Sales and Business Development Organization. This team is revered by our strong analytical skills, our detailed knowledge of products and market, and our understanding of Niagara's core competencies to help us achieve our goals of identifying & vetting the right opportunities for the business. This individual will be instrumental in shaping our growth strategy and detecting avenues for sustainable expansion. Essential Functions
- Strategic Sales support in validating and creating upfront commercial positions on beverage opportunities valued at over $2 Billion.
- Play critical role in expanding Niagara's market reach in conducting thorough financial analysis in technology-induced and alternative packaging segments. These projects require complete understanding of targeted category and can last up to 18 months in evaluation (ie. cutting edge technologies, sustainable product offerings, alternative packing).
- Provide financial expertise, analysis, and guidance in direct support of the company's leadership team collaborating with team members at all levels of the company.
- Train and develop direct report(s) to meet business unit objectives and needs (as applicable).
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to translate insights into clear, actionable commercial recommendations that drive business performance.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders and effectively position initiatives across the business unit.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of departmental processes to advance proposal turnaround time, reduce risk, and ensure cross-functional flow of information is maintained.
- Indirectly manage various members of Sales & Business Development and supporting functions to ensure completion of various business tasks.
- Develop team goals and KPIs to be shared with direct reports.
- Communicates job expectations; plans, monitors, and appraises job results; coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees; develops, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
- Provide strategic rationale for beverage contract development on pricing, and packing fee adjustment parameters; among other commercial key terms.
- Design, develop, and prepare directional data models to efficiently pre-validate new sales opportunities and ventures.
- Identify trends across Niagara's existing customer base and investigate external market drivers to anticipate future Beverage headwinds and tailwinds.
- Analyze financial data, extract information, define relevant callouts, and own Commercial Strike Zone price recommendations for rapid opportunity engagements.
- Consult with Finance department on key financial assumption updates and/or identifiable gaps.
- Create scenario analyses to help Niagara mitigate project risk(s) when it comes to contracting new business.
