Job Description Background and General Summary:Vertex Pharmaceuticals operates at the forefront of scientific innovation and has successfully developed and commercialized multiple breakthrough medicines for Cystic Fibrosis (CF), Casgevy, a gene therapy for sickle cell disease and beta-thalassemia and Journavx, a novel new treatment for moderate to severe acute pain. Vertex has more than a dozen ongoing research programs focused on the underlying mechanisms of other serious diseases including programs in kidney diseases, Type 1 diabetes, among others. As Vertex grows in scale and complexity, it is establishing a new center of excellence-the Global Pricing & Analytics Group (GPAG)-to build industry-leading capabilities in global pricing analytics. GPAG will evaluate pricing strategies, measure performance, and deliver actionable insights across regions and the portfolio. Vertex is seeking a Senior Director based in Boston, MA, to lead this new function within the current Global Value & Access Strategy (GVAS) team. This role reports to the VP of GVAS and will serve on the GVAS Leadership Team. The Head of GPAG will help shape the group's long-term vision and develop a five-year roadmap for priority technology and pricing capabilities, define the target future state, identify gaps and the resources required to deliver change. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong cross-functional leadership, thrive in a complex environment, and bring a problem-solving mindset grounded in strong analytical skills. As a senior member of the GVAS team, this individual must model Vertex's ethics and culture and be committed to developing the next generation of leaders. Key Responsibilities:
