UNC Health Medical Group is currently seeking a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their inpatient psych unit with UNC Health Johnston Inpatient Psychiatry, located at UNC Health Johnston in Smithfield, North Carolina. Schedule: Full-time: Inpatient Schedule: 7 on 7 off (12-hour shifts) Opportunity to participate in optional call coverage and extra shifts for additional compensation Qualifications: PMHNP certification required NC license New grads welcome to apply! Responsibilities: Inpatient PMHNPs will provide onsite care to patients in the inpatient behavioral health unit and the crisis stabilization unit at UNC Health Johnston in Smithfield, NC working with the Supervising Psychiatry Physician Johnston County: Small town and southern charm with high-tech jobs and nearby major cities make Johnston County a great place to live. Licensure/Certification Requirements: Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) in the state of North Carolina. Board certification if required by the Department. DEA. Professional Experience Requirements: No prior experience required. Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: Demonstrated clinical competency. Effective leadership skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills. Effective interaction to ensure the successful care of patients in the clinical setting. Documentation in the medical record to substantiate accurate billing.
