Position Summary

The Office Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations and front office functions within the assigned department, and for providing support related to all aspects of office functions. The Coordinator servies as a liaison between patients, physicians, customers and MultiCare, responding to written and oral requests to resolve customers questions, problems, and concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, oversees, and assures the smooth operations and workflow of the office functions, ensuring that patients and the public are treated with respect and in an efficient manner
  • Answers telephone, screening calls for urgency, providing assistance, forwarding calls to the appropriate person or area, or recording messages and forwarding to appropriate person for follow up
  • Acts as a resource to the staff, resolving issues and provides feedback as needed/requested.
  • Develops and implements procedures and protocols related to front office processes to foster an efficient working environment
  • Maintains communications and acts as liaison between staff and management
  • Researches and resolves issues and concerns regarding office operations, functions, and related matters

Requirements

  • Associates degree preferred
  • One (1) years of experience in patient access/accounting
  • Two (2) years of experience in customer service
  • Depending on assigned area prior Patient Access Lead experience may be required

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $23.20 - $33.38 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
