We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Scheduler to join the team with Barrios, a teammate company.



Responsibilities

The Production Scheduler will:

    Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for production and processing services ensuring alignment with program milestones and on-time deliveries.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of detailed production schedules across the EVA (Extravehicular Activity) program.
  • Communicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership
  • Serve as the planning focal for program hardware builds, from procurement through delivery.
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
  • Coordinate with department supervisors to monitor production progress and completion dates
  • Own capacity planning, make/buy decisions, and scenario modeling to inform critical path strategies.
  • Collaborate with leadership to optimize build sequencing and resource allocation.
  • Track production KPIs, generate dashboards, and deliver planning insights.
  • Analyze production data to optimize lead times, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
  • Mentor junior team members and support their professional development.
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in manufacturing, supply chain, industrial engineering, or related field, plus five (5) years of experience in a field or in a related area.
  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly and testing of critical hardware.
  • Ten (10) years of production planning or project management experience using Microsoft Project, preferably in the aerospace field.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed scheduling decisions.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated organization skills to meet tight deadlines with high quality results.

Essential Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Applicant selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Work may involve sitting for extended periods.
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.
  • Generally, an office environment but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
  • Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)
  • Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
  • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
