We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Sr. Digital Marketing Automation Specialist (Hybrid) on our Health Solutions team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 3 days a week in the office. This role will execute integrated marketing campaigns particularly email campaigns to support sales objectives through data-driven insights. Monitor and analyze campaign effectiveness, calculate ROI, model marketing responsiveness, and provide actionable recommendations for optimizing marketing strategies. Ensure campaigns align with business goals and target audience interests, maximizing performance metrics such as CTR and conversions to achieve desired business outcomes and KPIs. RESPONSIBILITIES: Marketing Automation Platform Management
* Serve as the primary administrator for HS Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
* Drive the evolution of the HS SFMC roadmap ensuring alignment with business needs.
* Manage, document, and oversee the development of new SFMC features.
* Support integration of new platforms into the marketing automation ecosystem.
* Ensure data integrity through regular audits of data uploads, automations and connections.
* Evaluate, scope, and implement new development requests in collaboration with IT and cross-functional teams.
* Perform day-to-day email marketing activities including campaign set-up, scheduling, testing and deployment (batch, transactional, and trigger-based journeys); generate both basic and advanced campaign reporting with the use of Excel and SQL.
* Develop and enforce policies and procedures for email message governance and release processes.
Customer Data Platform (CDP) Management- (Salesforce Data Cloud)
* Serve as the primary manager for HS Salesforce Data Cloud, including initial setup and integration with HS SFMC.
* Manage data ingestion, activation, segmentation, modeling, and harmonization, ensuring unified and actionable customer data.
* Configure calculated insights and audience segments to support leadership decision making and engagement initiatives.
* Develop and maintain data unification and activation processes across Salesforce Data Cloud.
* Oversee and document enhancements for Data Cloud.
Digital Marketing Campaigns
* Manage the day-to-day execution of digital marketing campaign, including audience build and QC, campaign set-up, scheduling, testing, and deployment.
* Maintain and improve target audience segmentation processes for list QC.
* Build and monitor data extensions and filters within the marketing automation platform to ensure accurate targeting across campaigns.
* Consult on segmentation initiatives to enhance customer experience and campaign relevance.
* Support digital marketing specialists with platform expertise and campaign performance insights.
* Contribute to broader digital marketing operations initiatives.
Reporting and Analytics
* Partner with department leadership to promote a data-driven marketing culture.
* Track and report on campaign performance using designated KPIs, offering actionable insights.
* Create and maintain standardized reporting templates for lead generation and other marketing initiatives.
* Provide quarterly campaign performance reviews and insights to internal business partners.
May include other responsibilities as assigned REQUIREMENTS 1. Bachelor's degree required concentration in computer science, business administration, data science, marketing or related degree preferred; Master's Degree a plus. 2. 5+ years' experience in digital marketing required. Extensive knowledge and experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar marketing automation platform and the ability to drive adoption of new tools, improve processes, increase efficiencies, streamline marketing operations. 3. Experience with database management concepts and best practices; including utilizing and managing large databases 4. Demonstrated experience in utilizing digital channels; search, social, mobile, text, online media, to drive action; prior experience and success with lead nurturing programs, triggered emails, media buying, search, and personalization. 5. Experience using digital and site analytic tools (such as Google Analytics) to generate marketing recommendations and optimizations 6. Excellent collaboration and communications skills working with both internal teams and external stakeholders; ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and must be able to communicate with both technical and marketing audiences. 7. Broad technical skills are necessary; thorough knowledge of technologies such as SQL, Excel, AMPscript, HTML/CSS is required. 8. Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications are a plus 9. Excellent analytical skills, root-causing problem-solving skills, process mapping and data modeling skills. The American Medical Association is located at 330 N. Wabash Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611 and is convenient to all public transportation in Chicago. This role is an exempt position, and the salary range for this position is $87,394-$115,797. This is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration and geographical location, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
