| Position Summary |
The primary location of this position is on-site in Cullowhee, NC. This position is designated as being exempt from the State of North Carolina Human Resources Act (
EHRA).
The
CRM Developer and Data Analyst serves as the principal technical developer and data systems authority for the Graduate School. The position designs, builds, and maintains the Graduate School's enterprise customer relationship management (
CRM) system, which operates as a stand-alone instance with no direct programming support from the vendor. The individual writes data queries, constructs workflows, and develops integrations using the CRM's relational database language and vendor interface tools. The position is accountable for the quality and integrity of all data entering and exiting the Graduate School
CRM and exercises independent technical judgment in designing solutions for recruitment, admissions, communications, scheduling, and graduate assistant hiring processes.
The
CRM Developer and Data Analyst serves as the Graduate School's technical liaison to the Information Technology Division, providing authoritative technical specification and direction for integrations between the
CRM and the Banner Student Information System. The position leads client-side testing of new and revised integrations and engages in data cleanup and data integrity initiatives across enterprise platforms. The individual also represents the Graduate School on university-wide technology committees, including the Banner Users Group and Data Standards Committee, and provides technical training and consultation to Graduate School staff, graduate program faculty, and other unit stakeholders.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The position requires demonstrated proficiency in writing routines and queries in relational database languages and data retrieval languages, including competency in markup languages. Requires thorough knowledge of enterprise
CRM systems and the concepts, techniques, and tools associated with relational databases, information storage, data retrieval, data analysis, and electronic data transfer. Must be capable of independently designing and building
CRM workflows, application structures, and data field architecture within a stand-alone
CRM environment. Requires the ability to analyze complex data systems, identify integration requirements, and provide technical specifications and instructions to IT staff. Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively across functional and technical environments with diverse stakeholders. |
| Minimum Qualifications |
- Interested candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employment sponsorship or any other immigration-related assistance.
- Graduation from a two-year technical college with a degree in information technology or a related field and two years of experience related to the position's role; or graduation from a four-year college or university and one year of experience related to the position's role; or graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in information technology or a related field. Related information technology experience may be substituted year for year for the required education.
