Position Summary

Position Summary:

Works under the direction of the Plant Quality Lead to execute and maintain quality processes and systems for the value streams.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the execution of the daily incoming and outgoing inspection activities.
  • Assists with containment actions for nonconformances and internal and external calibration systems.
  • Actively participates in Natural, Starpoint and Project High Performance Teams.
  • Participates in the internal ISO audit onsite and supports the internal audit team
  • Completes receiving, shipping and shop floor insections
  • Follows required safety and environmental policies and procedures onsite.
  • Samples Parts for incoming inspection, collecting data, interpreting results and communicating findings.
  • Collaborates with internal customers and teams across the site to resolve quality issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associates degree in an applied science, trade school degree or high school diploma with equivalent experience (minimum of 1 year in a quality or inspection role in a manufacturing environment)

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Working experience in an ISO environment preferred

Skills:

  • Ability to organize, maintain and present information in order to make an informed decision or recall information later
  • Working knowledge of part drawings and appropriate tools to measure features
  • Expertise with inspection techniques, quality/statistical tools, instruments/equipment and general business operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and other documentation
  • Computer skills including MS Office, email and ability to learn Parker business systems.
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean tools including Fishbone, 5Why, Kaizen etc.
  • Ability to assess and recommend continuous improvement opportunities
  • Ability to effectively work in a team oriented atmosphere to establish and maintain effective quality systems as well as taking appropriate corrective actions to continually improve.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $23.4/hr to $40.1/hr
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
