The APeX Senior Access Applications Analyst is dedicated to high level and detailed analytical work and functions as the senior technical and solutions oriented resource for the Access team. The Senior Access Applications Analyst works under the direction of the Manager/Director to configure, build & install the application. Responsible for analyzing work flows, policies, procedures, and constraints of the clinical or business operations support by the application, and offering technical solutions based on this analysis. In depth and precise investigation and documentation of operational specifications and application functionality is required. Key technical activities include the analysis of new releases to determine how workflow should be modified, building and populating databases and tables during initial system configuration, conducting system testing and conversion data validation. The application analyst develops and documents internal procedures and establishes change control processes for the application. The APeX Senior Applications Analyst preforms analysis on optimization, enhancement, upgrade and project requests during the intake process. This can include working with multiple Clinical Systems teams, as well as the PMO Office, Leading projects, Clinical SMEs and Business Operations. He/she may be required to lead chosen optimization, enhancement, upgrade and other projects that have been prioritized by CS and operations management. The senior access applications analyst will have comprehensive knowledge of UCSF Clinical System Procedures and Polices and a multi-layered understanding of Operational workflows, business processes, compliance requirements. The APeX Senior Access Analyst has in-depth knowledge of Epic patient access systems, ancillary systems, and health access operations. The APeX Senior Access Applications Analyst also develops user training aids and trains end users in workflow and use of the application. He/she function as the primary contact to troubleshoot problems and questions from end-users during training, go-live, stabilization and on-going support (7x24). High level, proactive communication, excellent, independent judgment and decision making, and collaborative leadership are required attributes. Attention to detail is a critical skill for this position. Successful candidates enjoy helping other user to learn and adopt to use of the application. The Senior Access Applications Analyst must achieve certification in, and support, two or more of the following APeX applications: * Cadence Department Overview Health IT are responsible for all aspects of the clinical and business software applications of UCSF Health hospitals, practices, affiliates, and community partners. This includes the Electronic Health Record (APeX), which supports the clinical, revenue cycle, and clinical operational functions of the health system and its affiliates, and approximately 95 other software applications involved in patient care and operations.
