Description

As a Utility Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting our production processes.

* Support and follow our safety, quality, and production procedures.
* Teamwork effort and involvement in setting up machinery and equipment for production run.
* Monitor production processes to identify potential issues and collaborate with the team on corrective actions as needed.
* Reads MacOps program and machine schedule to review customer specifications and any special requirements
* Verifies ( measures) incoming materials to verify correct size sheets.
* Identify the correct stacking patterns, print load tags, and ensure the correct use of bottom sheets and tie sheets per MacOps and customer specifications.
* Identify non-conformance material and report to the machine operator. (warp, etc.)
* Communicate any machine problems to the operator and supervisor
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment through a "clean as you go" attitude.
* Ensure line clearance functions have been performed before starting up the next order
* Performs box inspection throughout the run for box quality and report any changes to the operator
* Complete accurate records and verify sheet count, dunnage and unit appearance on all orders.
* Monitor PH and viscosity of ink throughout the run of an order and report any changes to the operator
* Is involved with any aspects of the set-up once all tasks are performed.
* Monitor and organize the bottom sheet area at the respective machines
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, production efficiency, and overall plant performance.
* Identify and recommend process improvement to reduce waste and improve product quality.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
