Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a User Support Specialist
III in the Department of Health Sciences within the Office of Information Technology (
OIT).
Under the management of the Assistant Director of IT for Client Services, the User Support Specialist
III is responsible for supporting the
RSDM user community, including travel to various
RSDM sites located in Southern New Jersey. Duties include supporting all desktop related technologies throughout the
RSDM academic, administrative, and clinical environments, and support of
RSDM sites located in Southern New Jersey, and supporting various audiovisual deployments throughout all
RSDM locations.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Deploy and support desktop hardware and software technologies deployed to clinical, administrative and academic users.
- Ensure that use of desktop technologies complies with university and industry policies, regulations and operational standards.
- Act as a technology liaison to university OIT departments on behalf of RSDM end users.
- Perform delegated administrative duties for centrally deployed systems on behalf of RSDM, including endpoint management (Quest KACE) and endpoint protection (Cisco AMP for Endpoints).
- Diagnose and support network related issues for all off-site locations and coordinate with Rutgers Telecom and / or third-party ISPs toward issue resolution.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, or a computer-related field.
- Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Three (3) years of experience in the use or support of desktop computing.
