Job Description

Team & Role Summary
Visa's Global Data and AI team is seeking a Director to lead a team of early talent for the Consumer Payments Strategic Analytics team, focused on the Global Consumer Payments business. This leader will oversee a team delivering scalable analytics and AI-driven insights that inform product strategy, enhance performance, and drive innovation.

This leader will specifically focus on coaching, training and developing young talent. This team will partner with other team members within Consumer Payments Data and Analytics team to deliver projects while acting as internal data consultants to the Consumer Payments Business team. to deliver

Key Responsibilities

  • Hire, lead and grow a team of young talent and support them to execute Consumer Payments project aligned with Visa's 2030 vision and goals
  • Coach, train and develop young talent, making sure they strengthen the technical skills, as well as obtain strong knowledge of Visa business
  • Drive AI agenda and facilitate new ways of thinking in the era of agentic
  • Develop the team into an incubator of innovative ideas for CP D&A
  • In line with Data and Analytics democratization, oversee development of scalable AI solutions, dashboards, and reporting tools, facilitate the strategy of single source of truth and single "front door" for business
  • Drive advanced analytics and AI/ML initiatives to optimize product and customer outcomes
  • Guide model development and deployment for projects of the given team
  • Deliver executive-ready insights and strategic recommendations through strategic analytics projects
  • Collaborate across Product, Marketing, Finance, Technology and other relevant functions to embed data into decision-making

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • 9+ years of analytics/data science experience with a Bachelor's degree; 7+ with Master's/MBA; 3+ with PhD
  • Excellent programming skills in Python and SQL;
  • Strong hands-on experience with AI/ML, including generative AI, LLMs, and tools such as Claude Code and similar platforms (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
  • Strong knowledge of big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and MLOps practices
  • Experience with Agentic AI and understanding of tools like LangGraph / LangChain
  • Proven ability to translate data into business impact, and excellent storytelling with data skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, experience working with various clients (internal and external)
  • Strong and proven track record of delivering measurable outcomes through data
  • 5+ years in analytics or data science - ideally in payments, consulting companies or fintechs
  • Deep understanding of Visa's business, consumer payments and issuer/merchant analytics, as well as Big Tech clients
  • Proven experience leading high performing data science teams, while operating in cross-functional and global settings
  • Experience managing young talent and proven track record for successful development of such talent
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder influence, excellent presentation skills

The estimated salary range for this positionis $219,100.00 to $ 350,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
