Agile Scrum Master

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Scrum Master for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role guides and coaches the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines, while working a hybrid schedule requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities:

• Guide and coach the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to customers
• Get the team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques
• Ensure Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines
• Coach the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and effective communication
• Work with the Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making
• Resolve team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization
• Work with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to grow within the role
• Contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization
• Facilitate and support all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
• Act as a leader who coaches and supports Agile teams

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as an Agile Scrum Master
• 5+ years of work experience with JIRA Issue and Project Tracking Software

Desired skills:

• 5+ years of work experience on large and complex projects
• Agile coaching experience
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Information Technology or similar
• Working knowledge of Lean Agile SDLC processes and deliverables
• Working knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management
• Experience in education at all levels of management within the agile framework (portfolio, program, team)
• Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Process and detail-oriented
• Ability to foster strong collaboration among team members and help the team solve problems
• Self-motivation, self-direction, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment

Pay range: $63.94 - $71.94 per hour
