We are looking for a Named Account Executive to join our Federal Civilian team, focusing on the strategic expansion into Independent Agencies and Commissions.

Your Impact:

As a Named Account Executive for Independent Agencies and Commissions, you will be responsible for a diverse and untapped territory. Your mission is to identify, qualify, and close new business across a wide array of federal entities-ranging from cultural institutions like the National Museum of African American History and Culture to regulatory bodies and commissions like OSCHRC and USIP.

Leveraging your expertise, you will cultivate new opportunities through a mix of warm lead development and proactive whitespace prospecting.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate deep customer stakeholder relationships to ensure peak satisfaction across your assigned accounts.

  • Architect and execute a long-term account strategy that aligns directly with the customer's core business objectives.

  • Orchestrate internal matrixed resources-including Solution Engineers, Customer Success, and Product Support-to address complex business needs.

  • Lead account planning efforts, coordinating across sales resources to ensure a unified approach.

  • Masterfully manage and exceed sales quotas through diligent prospecting, qualification, and closing of enterprise opportunities.

  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline, navigating a high volume of transactions with precision and urgency.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of quota carrying software or technology sales and account management experience; ideally focused on large enterprise US Federal Civilian Accounts.

  • Work well within a team of various partners within a matrixed environment (Account Executives, Solution Engineers, Sales Leaders, Executives, etc.)

  • Highly driven individual with a focus on execution, strong sense of urgency and comfortable hunting new business

  • A mix of business curiosity combined with a technical ability to truly address customer data challenges and earn trust

  • Solution selling mentality: develop a plan and solution, articulate value, and navigate complexities of our customers to drive revenue

  • Education: Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.

  • Experience will be evaluated based onthe core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)

  • Experience selling in the software industry or technical sales experience (ex: SaaS)

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $123,200 - $189,350 annually There is a different range applicable to specific work locations. In California and New York, and select cities in the metropolitan areas of Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC, the base pay range for this role in those locations is $135,300 - $208,300 per year. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
