Summary

The Director of Project Management is a key leadership role within Chobani's Global Engineering organization, responsible for leading strategic capital and engineering projects across Chobani's manufacturing network while overseeing a team of Project Managers.

This is a highly technical leadership role, and we are specifically seeking an engineering leader with deep experience in Food & Beverage, Dairy, Beverage, or CPG manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in plant engineering, CAPEX execution, processing and packaging systems, and leading complex projects inside fast-paced production operations.

This leader will partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and plant leadership teams to safely execute high-impact projects that drive operational growth, capacity expansion, and manufacturing excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of Project Managers responsible for executing strategic capital projects across Chobani manufacturing facilities
  • Drive execution of large-scale CAPEX initiatives including plant expansions, processing systems, packaging lines, utilities, infrastructure, and operational improvement projects
  • Partner with plant leadership, Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute short- and long-term capital planning strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and company standards
  • Lead resource planning and project prioritization across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize operational disruption, delays, and cost overruns
  • Establish and drive project management standards, tools, KPIs, and best practices across the organization
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to project teams while fostering a culture of execution, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Serve as executive sponsor or lead Project Manager for high-priority or complex capital projects
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment across all project stakeholders, including executive leadership
  • Conduct regular project reviews focused on timelines, financial performance, operational impact, and risk management
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience leading capital projects, engineering initiatives, or manufacturing operations within Food & Beverage, Dairy, Beverage, or CPG manufacturing environments
  • 8+ years of project management experience overseeing complex capital projects, budgets, timelines, contractors, and cross-functional execution
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing Project Managers, engineering teams, or technical project organizations
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, plant engineering, and CAPEX execution within live production environments
  • Experience leading projects involving processing systems, packaging equipment, utilities, infrastructure, facility expansions, or operational improvements
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive execution in fast-paced manufacturing environments
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-dollar capital budgets
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in complex operational environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Project Management, Business, or a related field preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Experience with SAP, MS Project, AutoCAD, or similar project management and engineering systems is a plus
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed

Compensation Range: $144,000.00-$216,000.00, plus bonus.
