Electronics Engineering Technician

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Candidates must have the ability to obtain Security Clearance

Job Summary


The Electronics Engineering Technician supports engineering and development activities through hardware fabrication, testing, troubleshooting, and basic laboratory operations. This role involves building and modifying electronic and mechanical assemblies based on engineering drawings, as well as conducting testing and validation of components and systems. The position requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors. Flexibility to work any shift is required.

Job Responsibilities



  • Fabricate electronic and electrical chassis and mechanical racks using engineering drawings and specifications
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic assemblies and subassemblies
  • Disassemble and reassemble components as part of testing and repair processes
  • Interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and process specifications
  • Support laboratory operations, including equipment setup and maintenance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow established procedures, standards, and work instructions
  • Communicate technical issues with internal teams, customers, and vendors
  • Lift and move materials up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring ladder use as needed


Job Requirements



  • Associate's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering preferred
  • Experience with electronic assembly, fabrication, and testing
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting electronic assemblies
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to work any shift as required
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform light climbing tasks


Education



  • Associate's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering preferred


Work Experience



  • Prior experience in engineering lab support, electronics fabrication, or related field preferred
