The
Lane Community College Foundation supports the work of the college through private fundraising, building endowments, capital campaigns, and outreach. Current initiatives include a major gifts campaign, annual scholarships and endowments, capital projects, as well as transforming lives through learning through robust annual giving and major giving programs.

Starting Salary Range $87,713 - $98,666 (Grade 19) |
| Salary/Compensation Statement: |
- The position's full salary range is $87,713 to $129,837. New employees cannot be placed higher than $98,666 (step 4 on the salary grade) due to internal equity. The application is used to determine the initial salary placement for selected candidates. All employment and education history will be considered.
- Our Management Benefits package includes a generous contribution toward medical, dental and vision insurance, long term disability as well as paid sick leave and vacation time.
- Lane Community College is considered a qualifying public employer for the purposes of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, full-time employees working at the College may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance on Direct Loans after 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan. Questions regarding your loan eligibility should be directed to your loan servicer or to the US Department of Education.

| Position Purpose: |
The Alumni Relations & Annual Gifts Officer is responsible for developing and managing the
LCC Alumni Network, including individual and corporate relations related to alumni initiatives and collaboration between the Alumni Network and the College's programs. This position is also is a front-line fundraiser, focused on annual giving, including expansion of the donor pipeline (identification, qualification), management of a portfolio of donors between $1-10,000; management of direct mail, email solicitation, sponsorships for the annual auction/fundraising dinner, employee campaign, corporate sponsorships, department fundraising, related donor communications/publications, related volunteers and events.
This position also serves as part of the Foundation managerial team, supervising the Foundation scholarship coordinator. |
| Essential Functions: |
Annual Giving
- Maintain a portfolio of annual giving donors and prospects (both individuals and corporations) between $1-$10,000 and solicit their support.
- Identify and qualify new donors, with specific annual goals for donor acquisition.
- Work closely with the development director to transition annual giving donors to major/planned giving as appropriate.
- Meet annually established goals for calls, personal visits and giving outcomes. Develop and implement plans for moves management of prospects.
- Involve members of the Board of Trustees and other volunteer fundraisers as appropriate.
- Execute strategic direct mail and email solicitation program that includes donor acquisition, gift renewal and upgrades.
Alumni Relations and the LCC Alumni Network
- In collaboration with College marketing, brand the LCC Alumni Network and promote the Network to current students, alumni, and corporate partners.
- Work collaboratively with the College on alumni communication and initiatives related to student/alumni employment and industry relations.
- Create annual alumni communications plan using various online platforms as primary tools for communication.
- Create Alumni highlights in Foundation and College marketing materials, online and through communications and social media, including alumni employers, with the goal to have a monthly highlight.
- Collaborate with College marketing to create internal marketing of LCC Alumni Network, so on-campus partners have clear lines of communication.
- Increase aspects of external and internal communications plan, becoming more robust each year.
- Create pathways for donor identification.
Employee Campaign and Department Fundraising
- Coordinate the employee giving campaign, including working with department representatives and human resources.
Corporate Relations
- This position is responsible for identifying, cultivating and soliciting event sponsorship from corporate partners, including sponsorship for our annual fall fundraising event.
Event Coordination
- Develop and implement strategies for event fundraising, stewardship and alumni engagement.
- Solicit event sponsorships and in-kind gifts, including the annual The Celebration fundraiser.
- Provide oversight for most Foundation events, including planning of those events, soliciting relevant sponsorships, ensure all deadlines are met, and overseeing event timelines, budgets, vendors and components.
Communication
- Work with the development director/major gifts officer to implement electronic means of donor communication including social media and website.
Volunteer Involvement
- Create, develop and execute a highly effective and sustainable volunteer component within annual giving.
- Oversee the Foundation's scholarship ambassador program (student volunteers).
Leadership
- Assure the implementation of the College's Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunities concerning policies, goals and timetables in assigned areas. Ensure staff development on diversity, inclusive climate and respectful learning and working environment issues.
- Problem solve and manage sensitive information with appropriate awareness of FERPA standards; maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to the privacy needs of students.

| Physical Demands/Working Environment: |
This position works indoors and is exposed to usual office working conditions that includes office noises and interruptions, such as printers, telephones, and visitors. This position requires that an employee be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; perform cognitive and psychometric work for more than six (6) hours a day. Work may require transporting materials up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Work Safely. |
