Hourly Pay Range:

$56.25 - $72.12 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

  • Position: Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) - Immediate Care
  • Location: 519 S Roselle Road Schaumburg IL, 21481 N Rand Road Kildeer IL, 15 S McHenry Road Buffalo Grove IL, and 199 W Rand Road Mt Prospect IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Per Diem
  • Hours: 12 Hour Shifts. Availability needed Monday - Friday, 8am - 8pm, Weekends and Holidays 8am - 4pm.
  • Required Travel: Regular rotation between locations listed above based on business needs
  • Per Diem Hourly Amount - $70/Hour

Job Description

Under the direction of collaborating physicians, provides care to patients. Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations, orders imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures and interprets results. Instructs patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen. Maintains records and writes progress notes on status, treatments, and procedures. Follows patients through their course of treatment in the immediate care. Collaborates with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate. Demonstrates evidence-based practice. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty. Assesses the learning needs of patients and families across the continuum. Employs strategies, interventions and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health. Works autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams. Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promotes high quality patient experiences. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals. Supports the strategic plan of the organization. Adheres to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in nursing (MSN or MS) or NCCPA certified PA.
  • Minimum 2 years Emergency Department or IC experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant required to be considered for the position.
  • APRNS: Current Illinois Registered Nurse license and current Illinois Advanced Practice Nurse license, Illinois controlled substance license and DEA certification.
  • Physician Assistants: IL PA license, IL controlled substance license, and DEA certification.
  • Current CPR Certification issued by either the American Heart Association or Red Cross (must have an in-person component).

Special Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Suturing, suture removal, I&D, ear irrigation, pelvic floor exams, POC testing: CBC/BMP, COVID/Flu, Strep, INR, advanced imaging
