QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School diploma or GED required
* Five (5) years' experience as a licensed electrician, of which 24 months of maintenance experience on equipment/systems in a commercial/industrial electrical maintenance
* Active Local Municipality Journeyman or Master Electrician License
* Valid driver's license required
* Demonstrated expertise in mission-critical electrical systems (UPS, generators, switchgear, ATS)
* Strong understanding of electrical safety programs, including NFPA
* Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical documentation
* High level of professionalism, ownership, and attention to detail in operationally sensitive environments
JOB CONDITIONS:
* Hours may vary due to operational need
* Wiliness to participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies outside of normal business hours
* Must possess good working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment and procedures.
* Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver heavy facilities related to components, parts and equipment with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
* Ability to lift, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as required
* Non-covered safety sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner POSITION OVERVIEW:
Performs repair and maintenance tasks for all electrical and electronic FedEx Freight facilities and equipment; to maintain all electrical equipment to national, state or local codes

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on critical electrical systems supporting data center operations
2. Execute safe electrical switching, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and energized work procedures in accordance with NFPA 70E and local code requirements
3. Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize downtime and prevent service interruptions
4. Support 24x7 electrical coverage for the data center, including emergency response and after-hours call-outs
5. Actively support data center uptime objectives by coordinating closely with data center operations, facilities engineering, HVAC technicians, and network/computer teams
6. Participate in maintenance windows, load transfers, generator testing, and infrastructure upgrades with detailed pre-task planning and risk mitigation
7. Coordinate and oversee vendor and contractor electrical work to ensure compliance with site standards and safety requirements
8. Conduct regular walkthrough inspections of data center electrical spaces to identify potential risks or degradation
9. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and local/state electrical codes
10. Support electrical engineers and facility managers during design reviews, commissioning, and capacity planning efforts
11. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection documentation using enterprise work order systems such as Maximo or equivalent
12. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
13. Perform other duties as assigned
