Job Summary The Head of Regional Security - Americas provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all regional security programs and operates within the matrix structure of the Head of Group Security - Regions organization. This role is accountable for implementing, managing, and continuously enhancing the full spectrum of security measures to safeguard people, assets, and operations. Serving as the regional authority for security governance, the position ensures that global standards, guidelines, and procedures established by Group Security & Resilience are rigorously applied while being thoughtfully tailored to the region's unique risk landscape, regulatory obligations, and business priorities. Through proactive risk management, cross-functional partnership, and disciplined execution, the role strengthens organizational resilience and enables secure, compliant, and uninterrupted business operations throughout the Americas.

*This position requires working 3 days per week at our Lake Zurich, IL U.S. headquarters.
*This position is not eligible for sponsorship either now or in the future.

*Salary Range: $175,000-190,000.
*Position is eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan with a target of 16% of the base salary.
*Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the regional implementation of global security policies, standards, and processes, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide frameworks while adapting to regional regulatory and risk environments.
  • Proven experience serving as the primary regional interface between local operations and global corporate security functions, ensuring seamless communication, governance, and escalation pathways.
  • Expertise in travel security management, including delivery of security briefings, oversight of expatriate support, and coordination of regional travel risk mitigation through external service providers.
  • Strong background in establishing, maintaining, and exercising crisis management and business continuity structures, with the capability to act as the regional lead during crisis events and support local emergency response teams.
  • Deep knowledge of supply chain security, including transportation risk mitigation, secure logistics practices, and anti-counterfeiting measures across complex regional networks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of physical security management, including access control, facility protection standards, and the integration of security technologies.
  • Advanced capability in analyzing regional threat landscapes, producing risk assessments, and generating situational intelligence to inform executive decision-making.
  • Experience designing and overseeing incident escalation and reporting processes to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant communication across the organization.
  • Ability to lead regional crisis management and business continuity activities, ensuring preparedness, resilience, and operational continuity.
  • Proficiency in developing, tracking, and reporting key performance indicators to measure security effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience conducting security audits, site risk assessments, and training programs to strengthen organizational security maturity.
  • Established network within regional law enforcement, regulatory bodies, security service providers, and industry associations, with the ability to leverage external partnerships to enhance organizational resilience.
  • Experience contributing to global security strategy development through participation in enterprise-wide initiatives and cross-regional projects.
  • Ability to advise on security considerations for new construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with global standards.
  • Proven capability in selecting, managing, and evaluating external security service providers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective service delivery.
  • Strong advisory skills to support local leaders on security-related matters and embed security considerations into daily operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Risk Management, International Relations, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in corporate security, regional security management, crisis management, or related disciplines within multinational organizations including at least 10 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading security operations across multiple countries, ideally within the Americas region.
  • Preferred Certifications include CPP, PSP, MBCP/BCP, and/or CFE, demonstrating advanced capability in security, business continuity, and fraud or anti-counterfeiting disciplines.
  • Deep knowledge of corporate security disciplines, including physical security, travel security, supply chain security, crisis management, and business continuity.
  • Proficiency in incident management, escalation protocols, and crisis response coordination.
  • Familiarity with anti-counterfeiting measures, secure logistics, and transportation risk mitigation.
  • Ability to travel regionally and internationally as required, approximately 30%
  • Fluency in multiple languages a plus.
