Do you want to do work that matters, alongside supportive leaders who will help you grow faster than you ever thought possible? Are you a creative problem-solver who is energized by challenges? You've come to the right place. YOUR IMPACT
You will play a critical role in scaling the SCM Connections (SCMC) asset within McKinsey, with a primary focus on driving commercial growth, expanding client opportunities, and shaping high-impact supply chain planning engagements.
SCMC is an asset within our Operations Practice that brings advanced planning solution (APS) capabilities (e.g., SAP IBP, o9, Kinaxis) as well as Agentic AI solutions to clients currently undergoing large-scale supply chain transformations. You will operate at the intersection of business development, solution expertise, and client engagement, partnering closely with the Senior Asset Leader and broader Manufacturing and Supply Chain leadership to accelerate growth and deepen market impact.
You will manage and grow a pipeline of APS-enabled transformation opportunities across industries while building client relationships to identify supply chain transformation prospects. This work includes leading business case developments, contributing to proposals and solution positioning, collaboration with APS alliance partners to drive go-to-market initiatives, and assisting the Senior Asset Lead with SCMC economics P&L, resourcing, and global strategy.
You will bring strong working knowledge of APS platforms and end-to-end planning processes (S&OP/IBP, demand, supply, inventory) to support the evolution of the SCMC asset. In doing so, you will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams during the evolution of early-stage client engagements.
You will contribute to a high performing, globally connected team. You will also partner with alliance teams to scale relationships with strategic APS partners. You will have the unique opportunity to build and define this role and its path within McKinsey, and these relationships will be crucial in this effort.
YOUR GROWTH
Driving lasting impact and building long-term capabilities with our clients is not easy work. You are the kind of person who thrives in a high performance/high reward culture - doing hard things, picking yourself up when you stumble, and having the resilience to try another way forward.
In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities you need to become a stronger leader faster than you ever thought possible. Your colleagues-at all levels-will invest deeply in your development, just as much as they invest in delivering exceptional results for clients. Every day, you'll receive apprenticeship, coaching, and exposure that will accelerate your growth in ways you won't find anywhere else.
When you join us, you will have:
  • Continuous learning: Our learning and apprenticeship culture, backed by structured programs, is all about helping you grow while creating an environment where feedback is clear, actionable, and focused on your development. The real magic happens when you take the input from others to heart and embrace the fast-paced learning experience, owning your journey.
  • A voice that matters: From day one, we value your ideas and contributions. You'll make a tangible impact by offering innovative ideas and practical solutions, all while upholding our unwavering commitment to ethics and integrity. We not only encourage diverse perspectives, but they are critical in driving us toward the best possible outcomes.
  • Global community: With colleagues across 65+ countries and over 100 different nationalities, our firm's diversity fuels creativity and helps us come up with the best solutions for our clients. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to learn from exceptional colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • World-class benefits: On top of a competitive salary (based on your location, experience, and skills), we provide a comprehensive benefits package to enable holistic well-being for you and your family.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Bachelors degree; advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in Manufacturing & Supply Chain, with strong exposure to Advanced Planning Solutions (APS) and their vendors
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, pipeline creation, or sales support
  • Functional experience with SAP IBP, o9, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning processes
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders
  • Sound commercial mindset with experience in opportunity shaping
  • Ability to translate business needs into technology-enabled solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving and structured thinking skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to operate in low-structure, high-growth environments
  • 50% travel expected
  • Effective communicator, able to engage both business and technical audiences
