Job DescriptionThe Director of Accelerated Training Solutions (ATS) is responsible for the leadership, implementation, and profitability of accelerated workforce training programs in a defined region. Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Collaboration & Resource Management, this role ensures the delivery of innovative, high-quality training programs tailored to the needs of business and industry. The Director oversees regional operations, including staff management, budget accountability, business development, and cultivating key relationships with industry, government, and educational stakeholders. The Director supports statewide strategic objectives through local execution and performance optimization. Essential Functions

Business Development & Employer Engagement

  • Lead regional efforts to expand partnerships with employers, chambers, workforce boards, and economic development organizations.

  • Conduct workforce and skills gap analyses to identify emerging needs and translate them into actionable training opportunities.

  • Serve as the primary contact for employers, delivering consultative solutions that align with business goals and workforce objectives.

  • Promote TSTC's Accelerated Training portfolio and workforce services to expand the college's reach and impact.

  • Collaborate with the SCRM Operations team to review labor market and placement data to guide regional focus areas.

  • Partner with the Industry Relations team to respond to referrals and strengthen employer relationships.

Solutions Strategy, Customer Service & Workforce Impact

  • Develop and execute regional solutions strategies to meet established goals for revenue, client satisfaction, and student placement.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the business relationship lifecycle from initial inquiry to post-training follow-up.

  • Oversee proposal development, pricing, and service agreements to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with institutional requirements.

  • Track and manage the regional pipeline to ensure timely communication, accurate forecasting, and transparent performance.

  • Support client retention through responsiveness, service excellence, and ongoing engagement to identify repeat training needs.

  • Maintain focus on student success and job placement, ensuring that Accelerated Training completers connect with employers in high-demand occupations that strengthen the Texas economy.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Supervise Managers and Specialists within the assigned region, setting clear goals and providing coaching to enhance performance and customer service.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the regional team.

  • Coordinate with the ATS Administration and Project & Resource Management teams to ensure training delivery, reporting, and client communication are accurate and timely.

  • Maintain transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders to keep all parties informed of project progress and client feedback.

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Manage regional budgets to ensure responsible use of resources and achieve financial targets.

  • Prepare revenue projections, solution performance reports, and client activity summaries for leadership review.

  • Monitor profitability and ensure compliance with institutional financial and contracting policies.

  • Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and process improvements to enhance overall sales and service delivery performance.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college or university.

  • Four plus years of management experience in business or industry. Demonstrated successful ability in business, education, and/or training with knowledge of workforce development and instructional programs.

  • Experience with managing budgets, P&L responsibility, and project management, along with knowledge of evaluation methods.

  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in business development and consultative selling techniques.

  • Ability to work with federal and state government, education, business, and industry association people at all levels and with varied backgrounds and expertise.

  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare meaningful reports.

  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long-range goals.

  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.

  • Skill in conducting needs analysis and working with business and industry to determine training needs.

Work Environment & Additional Information
  • This position resides on the Waco, TX campus.

  • This role will require occasional travel to different office locations and events.

  • Ability to perform essential physical tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, lifting, or other job-specific movements as needed.

  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed

  • This position is full-time, requiring a standard 40-hour work week

  • This role is classified as salaried, exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

  • This position is not ORP eligible
