We AreSynopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow. You AreYou've built your engineering career at the intersection of electronics and physics, and you get a real kick out of solving "impossible" problems for teams pushing the boundaries of what's electrically and thermally feasible. You know your way around a schematic, but you're just as comfortable firing up Ansys Icepak, AEDT, or Fluent to run a simulation that tells the real story. When a customer's system is overheating, you're the one who can untangle whether it's a fluid flow bottleneck, a thermal interface misstep, or a modeling assumption gone sideways. You don't just troubleshoot-you teach, you guide, and you make sure the next time the team knows exactly what to do.You thrive on variety: one day you're deep in a customer's layout files, the next you're field-testing a new solver feature or prepping a training deck that turns "CFD" into something an entire design team can use. You're hungry to keep learning-AI in engineering, new multiphysics workflows, whatever's next. You want to be part of a team that values curiosity, collaboration, and making a real difference for customers. If you like seeing the impact of your work show up in the next generation of electronics and enjoy being the expert people rely on, this is your role. What You'll Be DoingUse Ansys simulation tools (AEDT, Icepak, Fluent, Mechanical) to help customers solve electronics thermal, power, and reliability challenges in real-world designsProvide direct technical support, troubleshooting, and workflow recommendations to customers across the US and Canada, ensuring they get the most out of their simulation investmentsBuild deep expertise in Ansys simulation products and their application to electronics design, becoming the go-to resource for both customers and internal teamsGuide customers in multiphysics simulation approaches, including electro-thermal and thermo-mechanical analysis, helping them choose the right methods for their problemsCapture and report software bugs and feature gaps, contributing actionable feedback to product development and participating in field-testing new releasesCollaborate with Sales and Marketing to provide technical insights, support product demonstrations, and help shape messaging that resonates with engineering teamsDeliver training sessions, webinars, and technical presentations to upskill customers and colleagues, making complex simulation topics accessible and actionableThe Impact You Will HaveSpeed up customer adoption of advanced simulation workflows, letting teams find and fix design issues before hardware is ever builtRaise the bar for customer satisfaction by turning technical obstacles into opportunities for learning and successDrive improvements in Synopsys' simulation tools by channeling real-world feedback into actionable product changesEmpower engineering teams to leverage AI-enabled simulation, opening new possibilities for design optimization and innovationHelp customers reduce costly design iterations by giving them the simulation expertise they need, exactly when they need itGrow the technical capability of Synopsys' support and product teams by sharing best practices and emerging trendsMake a measurable difference in the reliability, performance, and competitiveness of customer products across industriesWhat You'll NeedBachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Physics, or closely related field (BS + 2 years, MS or PhD with relevant experience)Hands-on experience with Ansys simulation tools (AEDT, Icepak, Fluent, Mechanical) or equivalent CAE, CAD, EDA, or PLM platformsSolid foundation in fluid mechanics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and thermodynamics applied to electronicsFamiliarity with multiphysics simulation (electro-thermal, thermo-mechanical) and their role in electronic system designStrong communication skills-you can break down complex technical topics for both engineers and non-specialistsWillingness and ability to travel domestically up to 10% as neededExperience supporting customers in a technical role is a plusWho You AreYou break down a thermal bottleneck or simulation error methodically, asking the right questions and staying focused on root causeYou can explain the difference between a CFD solver setting and a physical design constraint without losing your audienceYou're comfortable juggling multiple priorities-support tickets, training, field-testing-without letting quality slipYou look for the "why" behind a customer's workflow, not just the "how," and tailor your guidance to their real needsYou thrive in teams where expertise is shared, and you enjoy mentoring others as much as you enjoy learning yourselfYou stay curious about new technologies and are ready to try, test, and advocate for better ways of workingThe Team You'll Be Part OfYou will join the Ansys Customer Excellence (ACE) Global Technical Support (GTS) team, a diverse group of talented engineers and technical specialists dedicated to empowering customers and advancing simulation-driven innovation. The team emphasizes a collaborative culture, sharing expertise, continuously learning and delivering exceptional service across a wide range of industries, with a special focus on electronics thermal management. Together, you will solve complex challenges, drive product advancement, and make a measurable impact on the future of electronic design.Rewards and BenefitsWe offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs.
