*Job Summary* The Data Center Cabling Technician supports the installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure within largescale data center and construction environments. This is a handson, entrylevel role ideal for candidates with mechanical aptitude or experience working with tools who are interested in building a career in data centers, networking, or telecommunications. The position involves working with copper and fiber cabling, network hardware, and testing equipment while adhering to safety, quality, and industry standards. *Job Duties & Responsibilities* * Install, route, label, and remove lowvoltage copper and fiber cabling (e.g., Cat5/Cat6) in data center environments * Assist with network hardware installations, decommissioning, and live service swaps under supervision * Perform basic cable testing, troubleshooting, and validation using industry tools * Support physical infrastructure tasks such as ladder racking, seismic bracing, and rack preparation * Read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions to complete cabling and hardware tasks accurately * Maintain clean, organized, and welldocumented work areas and follow standard operating procedures * Coordinate with team members, supervisors, and stakeholders to provide job status updates and support project timelines * Adhere to safety requirements, quality standards, and best practices while working onsite * Work extended hours or overtime as needed to meet project demands *Required Skills & Qualifications* * Entrylevel experience or strong interest in cabling, hardware installation, or handson technical work * Comfort working in large data center or construction environments * Ability to safely lift equipment, pull cable, climb ladders, and work on feet for extended periods * Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules as required * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions * Basic familiarity with tools used in lowvoltage or telecommunications work (experience preferred but not required) * Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team *NicetoHave Experience* * Previous data center, telecommunications, construction, or machine operator experience * Exposure to fiber optics, cable testing tools, or structured cabling standards *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hillsboro, OR. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
