To be considered an applicant for this position you must meet the minimum qualifications as stated in this announcement. HVCC does not support Visas. Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States and appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check.

We are creating a qualified registry of applicants. A vacant position may not currently exist in each area.

Employment Date: Camp is scheduled: July 6 - July 31, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in athletic training, physical education, or related field, and current N.A.T.A certification. Two years of experience in athletic training and experience working with children aged 6-16. The preferred candidate will also have administrative experience with a camp.

Duties and/or Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operation of Summer Athletic Camp programs
Ensure equipment is in place and facilities are safe for students' use
Facilitate daily check in/out of campers
Deal with behavioral issues and recommend appropriate action
Deliver and fill water and water bottles daily to appropriate locations (pick up at the end of the day)
Provide oversight for the before and after care program
Provide athletic training services for children
Review all health history forms and keep any medication in a secure area
Keep precise records of all injuries and treatments of campers, and contact parents when an injury occurs
Coordinate athletic injury claims with College staff
Collaborate with Community Education staff on a program schedule, new programs, brochure development, and hiring, as needed
Supervise and manage all staff, including but not limited to overseeing staff activity, staff assignments, and evaluation of staff performance
Fill in as necessary for any activity due to coach absence
Work with various campus departments as needed to ensure smooth operation of camp
Create an enthusiastic and team oriented environment
Model appropriate behavior and positive reinforcement for all camp staff
Other duties as assigned

SALARY: $35.00 hourly Monday through Friday
