At CAE, we create missioncritical simulation technology that prepares pilots and maintainers for the toughest realworld missions. As a Systems Engineer, you'll shape the systems powering our highfidelity flight and mission simulators-modernizing legacy platforms, integrating new capabilities, and ensuring the realism and reliability that keeps pilots missionready.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Design and maintain core systems that ensure reliable, highperforming simulator operation.

  • Modernize legacy simulator systems with enhancements, new features, and optimized stability.

  • Collaborate with software and hardware teams to integrate system components seamlessly into realtime training devices.

  • Support system reviews and crossfunctional innovation to evolve nextgeneration training capabilities.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues across modern and legacy platforms.

  • Contribute to systems that directly support pilot readiness and mission safety.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).

  • 8+ years of experience in systems engineering for missioncritical or realtime environments.

  • Strong problemsolving instincts and a passion for building reliable, highperformance systems.

  • Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access; U.S. citizenship required.

  • Flexibility for occasional overtime, shift work, weekend work, and CONUS travel.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of MILSTD810, MILSTD461, MILSTD704; ARINC / RTCA experience preferred.

  • Experience working in Waterfall and/or Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Defense or military experience and comfort operating in both Traditional and Agile environments.

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment

  • Duties performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility.

  • Must be able to work overtime on and off-shifts as required.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to perform normal office duties (e.g.sitting for long periods at a desk)

  • Must be able to travel CONUS/OCONUS via car and airplane

  • Must be able to climb stairs to enter and exit a simulator

Salary Range: $153,300-169,500

The actual compensation rate is subject to the evaluation of the following factors (but not limited to): the candidate's work experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and market.
