In the role of Chemical Design Coordinator, we'll count on you to:

  • Perform process focused engineering analyses for water and wastewater treatment facilities, including the evaluation of the chemical systems, biological treatments, and hydraulic considerations.
  • Apply mass balance, reaction kinetics, equilibrium chemistry, process modeling, and hydraulic calculations to support design, sizing of equipment, and optimization.
  • Actively work on conveyance systems for water and wastewater, master planning, water/wastewater modeling, water wells, and other water/wastewater related projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of project deliverables including process calculations and design memoranda, engineering drawings and specifications, opinions of probable construction costs (OPCC), and technical reports and permit support documentation.
  • Perform as part of a quality assurance team and conduct quality control reviews of completed deliverables.
  • Complete projects using standard design criteria, regulatory requirements, and engineering best practices.
  • Work independently on defined tasks or support more-senior engineers on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Openly work on multidisciplinary projects and multi-office project teams.
  • Perform field investigations, site visits, and construction observation to ensure compliance with design documents.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills, data analysis skills, organizational skills, and multitasking abilities.
  • Be self-motivated and proactively demonstrate ability to work independently under supervision of professional engineer.
  • Have a keen attention to detail and regularly implement a high-quality standard into work production.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in project execution within the Oil and Gas, Chemicals, Mining, Food and Beverage and/or Industrial Markets.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Chemical / Process design software (examples include Aspen Suite, EnviroSim BioWin, Hatch GPS-X, or OLI Systems).
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.
