Barrett Paving Materials is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator in Jamesville, NYto produce hot mix asphalt and other mixes for road construction and maintenance. The operator will maintain plant equipment, lead repairs, and ensure quality products while working with Quality Control personnel Main Responsibilities Receive and fulfill customer orders for asphalt, ensuring accurate product delivery Perform preventive maintenance on the plant, including planning, documentation, and recording scheduled maintenance, and respond to mechanical breakdowns or malfunctions in a timely manner Maintain a clean and organized plant, including the operator's shack, inside and out Manage inventory of materials, such as additives, fuel, and liquid asphalt, to meet daily production needs Assist in establishing maintenance budgets and procedures to optimize plant operations Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and policies Continuously improve safety and productivity at the facility to maximize efficiency and performance Controls the automated or non-automated production system: contributes to the configuration of the data required for production and implements the control instructions determined by the asphalt plant supervisor Ensures that production runs smoothly: monitors the quality and quantity of production in progress, sets up, operates, and maintains production equipment or machinery Reports malfunctions to maintenance teams Complies with safety, hygiene, quality and environmental instructions: checks components for compliance with tolerances or specifications; may perform finish work Can control the customer loading station: loads the product while respecting quality and quantity, packages, stores, and ships completed goods Skills Prior experience in a similar role in plant operation Valid New York State driver's license Strong mechanical ability Compensation Data Compensation $22.00- $25.00 per hour Overtime over 40 hours per week Benefits Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) match Life insurance and AD&D coverage Access to Teladoc and health advocate services And many more!
