Responsible for overall planning, quality improvement activities, and daily operations of Laboratory Services. Collaborates with others on operational, planning, fiscal, human resources and quality management issues to assure that administrative systems, techniques and procedures are appropriate for services. Maintains twenty-four hour accountability for Laboratory Services.

REQUIRED:

1. Bachelor of Science Degree, Medical Technologist, ASCP (certified as a technologist specialist.)

2. Must possess five (5) years prior medical experience.

3. Possess three (3) years of supervisory experience.

4. Possess excellent verbal and written communication, mathematical, and analytical skills.

5. Demonstrate knowledge of information systems, software applications and telecommunication systems.

6. Demonstrate the ability to make decisions, solve problems, and promote laboratory services and organization to physicians and general public.

PREFERRED:

1. Master's degree in science and four (4) years of supervisory/management experience.
