This role will leverage deep electrical engineering expertise to develop, design, integrate, test, and qualify electrical components for launch vehicles and spacecraft systems. In this position, you will take ownership of designs and requirements definition while actively participating in integration, testing, and qualification throughout the hardware development lifecycle. What You'll Do Develop new features and functionality as part of the design team for Firefly's common avionics platform used across launch vehicles and spacecraft Participate in technical trade studies, requirement capture, and conceptual and detailed design activities Create and own schematic capture and PCB layout activities, including rapid prototyping and EEE component selection Execute electrical simulations and analyses to support flight, qualification, and test laboratory PCB assemblies Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including systems, mechanical, software, and test engineering to develop tightly integrated, highperformance hardware Apply aerospace guidelines and standards for the development and design of electronic assemblies Job Requirements What You'll Bring Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent 5+ years of experience in PCB design, hardware systems design, and/or integration Strong skills in schematic capture and digital, analog, and power circuit PCB layout Experience with endtoend definition, requirements generation, blockdiagram design, component selection, and circuit simulation Strong electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to drive issues to root cause and resolution Experience using electrical test equipment to verify component and circuit functionality Excellent organizational skills and experience working with vendors Ability to work collaboratively, be proactive, and execute with minimal guidance What Sets You Apart Experience developing and testing complex electronic systems combining hardware, firmware, and software Experience with spacecraft avionics systems design, development, production, test, and operations Experience using Altium or similar tools to design complex aerospace boards Familiarity with the Vmodel design methodology Understanding of space radiation environments and their effects on electronic components Experience working with a variety of sensor types and associated analog and digital interfaces Familiarity with NASA GEVS or SMC016 environmental testing standards Additional Information: After you apply, you may receive a call or message from our AI Talent Scout about this role or other opportunities that match your skills and preferences.
