YOUR IMPACT

We are looking for a dynamic leader to head up our Wealth Strategies Group which is focused on delivering wealth protection solutions through insurance, annuities and long-term care to Goldman Sachs Wealth Management clients. As a Goldman Sachs Managing Director, you will lead strategic initiatives across the firm with responsibility for business growth, team development, execution of corporate initiatives, adherence to corporate policies and procedures and management of business operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop and continuously improve the strategic plan for the insurance, annuity and long- term care business across all Goldman Sachs wealth advisory businesses
  • Partner with leadership across the firm to ensure advisors and insurance/annuity specialists have the skills and tools necessary to meet the wealth protection needs of our clients
  • Create a culture and management approach that emphasizes always being on the side of the client, adheres to the strictest standards of suitability, while achieving commercial outcomes that benefit those clients who choose to implement our advice
  • Hire, develop and lead your team members, creating a culture of constant improvement in the areas of technical expertise and business development
  • Meet with key clients and coordinate marketing efforts with other businesses across the broader firm in support of the integrated wealth platform
  • Engage with industry regulatory bodies including FINRA, the SEC and state insurance authorities as well as Goldman Sachs internal control groups as required
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the executive leadership of key carrier partners
  • Execute policies and procedures in accordance with corporate guidelines
  • Ensure adherence to corporate Quality Control and Compliance standards
  • Work with Legal and Compliance groups to respond to client inquiries



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Deep knowledge and understanding of how insurance products; life, annuities and long-term care, are best leveraged in support of our high-net worth client's wealth building and preservation goals
  • Strong leader with a bias toward action and a track record of building out organizations and teams of the highest quality, integrity and client focused outcomes
  • Passion for building culture and creating an environment that attracts, develops and retains distinctive talent
  • Strong advocate for diversity and inclusion to meet the evolving needs of our clients and employees
  • Possession of an advanced degree and/or relevant industry certifications
  • Successful completion of required licensing and registrations, such as securities, advisory, tax, or insurance
