As the global demand for nuclear energy reaches unprecedented heights, the future has never been brighter. Framatome is seeking a strategic, high-impact Plant Controller to join our proven Fuel Business Unit team in Richland, WA.

In this role, you will lead the financial strategy for our Horn Rapids Road Fuel Manufacturing site, helping power over 38 million North American homes while optimizing operations for a net-zero future.



What You'll Do Day-To-Day

Your work will include day to day oversite of financial operations of the Horn Rapids Road Fuel Manufacturing site, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic Financial Partnership: Act as the financial backbone for the plant, collaborating with Engineering, Operations, and Safety leadership to translate operational data into actionable insights.
  • Operational Excellence & Cost Control: Own day-to-day financial operations, including meticulous budget management, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Capital Project Leadership: Provide high-level financial oversight for large-scale capital projects, including evaluating the economic feasibility of plant upgrades, new technology implementation, and ROI analysis for long-term investments.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Ensure rigorous compliance with NRC, DOE, and IFRS standards, managing internal controls to safeguard assets and leading external audits.
  • Process Transformation: Drive continuous improvement of financial systems and processes to optimize performance and reduce cycle times.

This position is based in Richland, WA, and requires occasional travel.



What You'll Bring

  • You have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields.
  • 10+ years of directly related, progressive financial experience, with strong preference for prior roles in manufacturing, engineering, or a highly regulated industry (Nuclear/Energy preferred).
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis to ensure financial stability and efficiency in a highly regulated industry.
  • Deep understanding of the nuclear industry regulations, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements (NRC, DoE, IFRS).
  • Ability to provide financial insights that support business strategy, risk management, and long-term capital investments.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to work effectively with engineering, operations, regulatory bodies, and executive team.
  • Experience managing all financial aspects of large-scale capital projects.


Total Rewards Package

  • Salary: $146,000-$199,000 and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
