SUMMARY OF DUTIES

This position performs assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviations from accepted practice is required. Schedules and directs the activities of production employees who perform silicon wafer processing to ensure products are ready to ship on time and meets high quality standards. Supervises the completion of work orders and lot/wafer runsheets to execute wafer fab schedules (process routes, tool availability, and cycle-time targets) while maintaining appropriate WIP and finished-goods inventory to meet customer demand.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

  • Maintains a safe working environment for employees

  • Present in cleanroom supervising and directing shift activities

  • Ensure team training is up to date

  • Point of contact for employee concerns

  • Resolve day-to-day concerns and conflicts promptly

  • Familiarity with Semiconductor manufacturing processes

  • Co-ordinates equipment needs with Maintenance, Engineering and Production

  • Works with planner and manager to guide and direct workflow in cleanroom

  • Able to make decisions as issues arise

  • Delegates work activities to employees on team

  • Tracks output through workstations

  • Works with team to continuously improve area

  • Good communicator, high verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to motivate and train others

  • Performs other related production supervision tasks, as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Education and/or experience equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree.
* A minimum of one year of supervisory experience, preferably in a related manufacturing environment and demonstrated ability to supervise others in a team atmosphere.
* At the Corporate site, if this position is on a Spanish-language line, bilingual (English/Spanish) basic speaking, reading and writing skills must be demonstrated.
* Knowledge of semiconductor processing and manufacturing practices.
* Ability to read and understand complex manufacturing and production information, including production drawings, work orders, and related manufacturing specifications.
* Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to identify improvements in manufacturing methods and processes.
* Ability to plan and organize production schedules to complete work orders on a timely basis and ensure that each work order is properly filled.
* Ability to communicate effectively with others orally.
* Ability to train employees and demonstrate production tasks to assist new employees to learn correct production procedures.
* Ability to work effectively as a manufacturing team member to achieve production goals.
* Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.

* Experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing facility, basic understanding of wafer processing.

Infectious Control Risk Category III:

The risk category explains whether or not employees are likely to come into contact with blood or body fluids while performing their jobs. Risk category III states employment and procedures that do not require exposure.
