We are seeking a Contracts & Compliance Specialist to play a key role in supporting government and commercial programs within a dynamic aerospace and defense organization. In this position, you will help drive contract execution, ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate risk, and partner with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical projects that have a direct impact on national security and advanced technology initiatives.

What You'll Do
Contract Administration & Management


  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer a variety of agreements, including NDAs, subcontracts, teaming agreements, and commercial contracts.



  • Manage contracts throughout the entire lifecycle-from proposal and award through execution, modification, and closeout.



  • Interpret contract terms, conditions, and requirements while providing guidance to internal stakeholders.



  • Support proposal development activities and assist with pricing and contractual compliance requirements.



  • Identify contractual risks and recommend practical solutions to support business objectives.




Compliance & Regulatory Support


  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and other applicable government regulations and contractual obligations.



  • Monitor contract performance and proactively identify compliance risks and potential issues.



  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audits, reviews, and customer requirements.



  • Assist with export control compliance, data protection requirements, and regulatory reporting activities.



  • Support internal compliance initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.




Cross-Functional Collaboration


  • Partner closely with Program Management, Finance, Procurement, Operations, Engineering, and Business Development teams.



  • Serve as a trusted advisor on contractual and compliance matters.



  • Interface with government agencies, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding contractual requirements.



  • Support strategic decision-making by assessing contractual and regulatory impacts on business operations.




Process Improvement & Reporting


  • Track contract milestones, deliverables, modifications, and compliance metrics.



  • Develop and maintain contract documentation and reporting systems.



  • Identify opportunities to streamline contract administration processes and improve operational efficiency.



  • Support training initiatives and promote best practices related to government contracting and compliance.




What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.



  • 2-5+ years of experience supporting government contracts, compliance, or contract administration.



  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government contracting principles.



  • Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or another highly regulated industry.



  • Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.



  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.




Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with ITAR, EAR, export controls, and government compliance programs.



  • Familiarity with DCAA requirements and audit support activities.



  • Experience utilizing ERP, contract lifecycle management, or procurement systems.



  • Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.



  • CPCM (Certified Professional Contracts Manager) certification or similar professional credential.
