Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Memorial Sloan Kettering is seeking a Clinical Nurse II to join our inpatient nursing staff on M18, our Surgical Advanced Care Unit. As a global leader in cancer care, research, and education, we are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while advancing the future of oncology. M18 - Surgical Advanced Care

36-bed inpatient oncology unit with a hybrid model that includes an open step-down unit caring for critically ill and post-operative patients. The unit supports mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and telemetry. A fifteen-bed capacity is designated for step-down care, with dynamic patient needs ranging from long-term vented patients to high-risk post-op and septic patients. Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:3-4, with exposure to high-acuity care and cross-training within the first year.

Role Overview:

  • Assess, monitor, and document patients' conditions, including vital signs, symptoms, and clinical status, in inpatient settings

  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and institutional policies

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care

  • Provide patient and family education, support, and care coordination

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record

Key Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN required)

  • Active New York State RN license

  • BLS Certification Required

  • Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience

  • Experience with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems

  • Critical Care nursing experience highly preferred

Additional Information:

  • Location: 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10065

  • Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts 7pm-7:30am; Monday through Friday with weekend and holiday rotation required

Pay Range: $113,100.00 - $225,100.00 FSLA Status: Exempt
