Maintenance Repairman 2- Ole Bull State Park

The Maintenance Repairman 2 role with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources offers a chance to help keep state park facilities at Ole Bull State Park in top condition. In this position, you will support the upkeep, repair, and construction of park buildings, facilities and equipment at Ole Bull State Park as part of the Kettle Creek State Park complex. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:

• General Maintenance: Perform skilled tasks across carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical and mechanical work
• Project Planning: Organize repair needs, gather supplies and estimate time and material requirements for assignments
• Lead Work Direction: Guide and support laborers and other staff during maintenance and construction projects
• Equipment Operation: Operate light and heavy equipment safely and complete required reports and maintenance logs for equipment
• Facility Care: Maintain buildings, grounds, signs and water systems to ensure clean and safe conditions for park use

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• You may be required to work weekends and holidays.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirements:

• This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
