Job Summary

This position will have oversight of Amazon business activities across Nidec divisions serving and providing products and services to Amazon globally. As the senior member for Global Amazon account management, this position will be responsible for leading a Nidec cross divisional team identifying, qualifying, capturing, proposing, closing and maintaining all Amazon global business opportunities. This position will manage, lead, develop, and coach a team comprised of members from Nidec Automation, Nidec Drives, Nidec Drive Systems and other Nidec Business Units as determined.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Regular cadence of meetings both virtual and face to face with Amazon.
  • Responsible to coordinate and help organize Quarterly Business Reviews between Nidec and Amazon with a focus to alternate meeting locations at Amazon and Nidec facilities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Amazon Executive and Amazon mid-level management teams.
  • Collaborate with Amazon and Nidec team to have full transparency of Amazon's programs and strategy.
  • Regularly generate and distribute an Amazon/Nidec overall global business status to assure there are effective lines of communication for all parties.
  • Define and understand all of Amazon's Global locations with a strong focus on North America and Europe. How do Amazon's North America and Europe facilities compare to one another in terms of the systems used.
  • Responsible for achieving quarterly/annual revenue for Amazon aligned with the Automation, Drives Drive Systems, and other Nidec Business Units business plans.
  • Collaborate with and lead cross-functional Nidec business segments to develop, maintain, and communicate all Amazon Global products and programs.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities to maintain a competitive edge at Amazon.
  • Identify and work with global Amazon Warehouse Automation integrators. Need to have Nidec products and services specified into third party products and systems.
  • Effectively present and communicate the overall state of Nidec's and Amazon's relationship to Automation, Drives, Drive Systems, and the MOEN Executive team

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or above in engineering, business/marketing or related field of study.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Automation markets.
  • A minimum of 10 years of broad-based, sales and business development experience.
  • Strong proven experience in interacting with Amazon on all levels of their business, sales, operations, technology, and quality.
  • Strong technical understanding of Nidec products and how they are applied into Amazon's Global Fulfilment and Sortation locations.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems
  • Strong analytical skills - both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior/Executive members.
  • Ability to partner, collaborate and influence others in a matrix organization on a cross-functional team.

Travel

  • Frequent local and global travel will be required.

* Typically requires an advanced degree or equivalent professional certification, along with a minimum of 12-15 years of relevant experience
