CITY OF CHISHOLM CITY ADMINISTRATOR The City of Chisholm, Minnesota is seeking a City Administrator to serve as the chief administrative officer for the City of Chisholm. The City Administrator ensures that the operations and functions of the City effectively serve the needs of Chisholm residents and other stakeholders while complying with applicable federal, state, and municipal statutes. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Management, Business, Finance or related field, and 5 years of experience in management, public administration, business administration, or related field; or any equivalent combination of formal preparation or substantial experience which provides the requisite knowledge and abilities for this position. Minimum of 5 years of experience in public sector management including at least 1 year of direct supervisory experience. Minimum of 1 year of experience in grant writing at local, state, and federal levels. Demonstrated knowledge of municipal government, organizational development, labor relations, strategic planning, and economic development. Demonstrated ability to manage annual budgets in excess of $9M. Strong financial, human resources, and communications skills. Ability to speak and write in English. Demonstrated ability to listen to different points of view and making objective decisions. Other Preferred Skills and Abilities: Master’s degree in a related field. Experience working in a union environment and negotiating union contracts.
