Security Officer Experienced Patrol

As a Security Officer Experienced Patrol in Petersburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. In this unarmed role, you will support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication while representing a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity and care for people.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper communication channels when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe activity at a technology-focused location, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports related to incidents, patrol observations, and daily activities, and support Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts with requested information.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
