Responsibilities: As the Manager - Business Insights Actuary, you'll play a key leadership role in transforming data into clear, actionable insights that directly influence financial performance, strategic decisions, and total cost of care across Presbyterian. This position sits within Medical Economics and serves as a trusted advisor to leaders across Medicaid, ACA, Medicare Advantage, and ASO. Your work will shape how the organization understands performance, identifies opportunities, and makes decisions that improve care and affordability for our members.
What you'll lead and influence
Serve as the primary Medical Economics partner for assigned lines of business, building strong relationships with leaders and understanding their priorities and challenges Translate complex business questions into structured analytical approaches and meaningful insights Deliver executiveready reporting that highlights performance, trends, risks, and opportunities-with clear "so what" and "now what" recommendations Connect insights directly to financial outcomes, including GL, forecasts, and MLR Identify emerging risks and opportunities across cost, utilization, and revenue drivers Create compelling narratives that help leaders act quickly and confidently Support evaluation of performance improvement initiatives and strategic programs Ensure consistency and accuracy in how performance is measured and communicated Partner with internal teams to enhance dashboards, reporting tools, and user experience Streamline recurring reporting while elevating analytical depth and strategic value Collaborate closely with leaders across Cost Strategy, Cost Optimization, and Data Infrastructure
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business-related field (e.g., Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Public Health) or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience in healthcare strategy, medical economics, finance, or analytics Experience supporting Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, ACA, or other health plan lines of business Experience developing executive-level presentations and facilitating stakeholder discussions Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Experience developing executive-level reporting and presentations Experience with tools such as SQL, Tableau, Excel modeling, or similar analytics platforms
