Assistant CNC Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist in the operation of CNC machinery and digital fabrication equipment
2. Ensure accuracy and quality of fabricated parts through careful attention to detail
3. Work closely with the team to maintain efficient production workflows
4. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
5. Continuously learn new skills and technologies related to digital fabrication
6. Safety: Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations by all employees
7. Quality: Assure all decks are checked and identified properly
8. Productivity: Maintain utilization specified by supervisor and/or lead
9. Coordinates: Communicate with other operators on any issues or shortages to supervisor or lead
10. Team player and willing to work closely with others
11. Dexterity: Employee would work with their hands, and need to be able to lift or hold heavy items
12. Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience

• Prior Manufacturing experience is a plus
• Some experience with CNC machinery or digital fabrication preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work

• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence as well as be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills.

Other Skills

Forklift license or must be able to pass forklift test to be certified by PlayCore.
