About the role:

As a Logistics Intern, you will look into each of the variety of ways that the Nuclear Fuel Transport group receives "demand" or requests to ship product. The majority comes from the standard demand and supply review processes, both short-term and long-term period; however potential future projects often need samples or other nonstandard product shipments. You will develop a process for logging and working on the total demand.

You will report to the Director, Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel Transport and be located at our Columbia location. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine all demand sources for logistics services
  • Document the process for receiving this demand
  • Develop a process and IT structure to document all of the demand (major and minor) so that you can track it



Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in or higher in business, finance, supply chain, or mathematics
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed Sophomore year of college
  • Familiar with process mapping
  • Experience with scheduling or project management software tools



We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $18.70 to $22.69 per hour.
