DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks involving the construction, alteration, and upkeep of buildings and structural components, including floors, roofs, stairways, windows, and doors. Your responsibilities will include preparing and painting both interior and exterior surfaces; installing and repairing plumbing fixtures such as sinks, faucets, water heaters, and drainage systems; and installing or replacing electrical components, including circuits, panels, outlets, and lighting fixtures. You will also complete concrete and masonry repairs as needed. Additionally, you will operate snowplowing and snow removal equipment and maintain tools and equipment across multiple trades. All duties must be carried out in strict adherence to DMVA general safety policies and position-specific safety guidelines.

- Full-time employment, 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
- Travel: As needed
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
