DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Print Production Technician, you will be responsible for operating high-speed, high-volume print and mail equipment in a mail production environment. Your complex time-sensitive and data sensitive work will be key for producing a variety of forms, letters, manuals, brochures, posters, marketing materials, and envelopes that are necessary for the efficient and effective functioning of Commonwealth agencies. Your responsibilities will involve setting up and operating highspeed digital printers, various intelligent envelop inserters, and digital offset equipment, as well as performing quality assurance and quality control inspections. This includes reviewing and verifying job specifications, inspecting output to determine if standards have been met, ensuring machines and equipment are maintained, troubleshooting issues as they arises, and prioritizing daily work to meet required deadlines. You will also be responsible for performing hand bindery tasks as well as packing, wrapping, and sealing materials for delivery. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment in a 24 hours per day, 5 days a week facility
- Work schedules include a 30 minute lunch:
- 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday - Friday
- 3:00 AM to 11:00 PM Monday - Friday
- 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM Sunday - Thursday
- This position is considered essential. You will be required to work during emergencies and office closings.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Print Production Operator (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience in the operation of print or mail insertion equipment or similar machinery used in a print or mail production facility; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must have experience running production equipment.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
