DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Semi Skilled Laborer, you will perform manual labor and provide essential support to the maintenance team. You will determine effective work methods and procedures for daily assignments. This role involves:
- Groundskeeping work including cutting grass, trimming trees and bushes, landscaping, and snow removal
- Performing minor masonry work such as repairing concrete and patching walls, walkways, and patio steps
- Preparing and painting interior and exterior areas
- Operating mechanized and motorized grounds keeping equipment such as gang mowers, rollers, and roto-tillers
- Changing oil, filters, plugs, and parts to service grass cutting equipment, snow removal equipment, and other tools
- Assisting with carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 1st shift (6:30 AM to 2:30 PM), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Work experience in trades such as masonry, carpentry, or plumbing
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirement:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a TB test.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
